it’s arrived!

Every Christmas and birthday, I like to buy myself a gift. I guess it’s a way of indulging without the guilt. My parents have never been gift-givers and with the traditional Italian mentality, we are given money instead. For me there’s an added bonus with my birthday falling a week after Christmas. So with two lots of gift money plus the after Christmas sales, I can usually pick myself up something pretty spectacular.
You’ll remember I told you all about Jaeger’s brilliant after Christmas sale and I’ve feature the Hastings Bowler as one of Carry This Bag’s classics. I couldn’t resist picking one up and got it at a fantastic price. I expected the bag to arrive around mid-January, what with all the public holidays and postal services sneaking in an extra day off (the buggers) but wouldn’t you know it? The bag arrived to day. Kudos to Jaeger for such brilliant service.
I’ve been tracking the bag over the Christmas break. That’s right, else you lot were busy catching up with friends I was logging into the delivery tracking site and updating my poor husband with every minute detail of the bag’s journey.
And now it’s here. It’s here, it’s here, it’s here. The ultimate Christmas present, each layer of packing unveiling a new sneak peak at my new bag. It was like peeling the layers of a onion, the thing was so well wrapped.
I thought I’d share my joy with you with the unveiling of my Hastings Bowler. It’s the first black bag I’ve bought, funny enough, but you can also get it in burgundy and orange.
If you want to check out the bag in more detail head to www.jaeger.co.uk
